Last week I posted about “Wandering the Streets of Cartagena, Colombia” and recommended spending time at Playa Blanca on Baru Island Colombia. Literally meaning “White Beach,” this tropical escape is just an hour from Cartagena by boat. It offers a chance to escape the city to enjoy the Caribbean waters and isn’t overtaken by tourists. It is somewhat crowded, but what’s neat is most beachgoers are actually native Colombians. Definitely book a half, full or overnight trip to Playa Blanca located on Baru Island Colombia to relax in paradise.
For my trip to Playa Blanca on Baru Island Colombia I stayed in Cargatena at El Viajero Cartagena Hostel and its location in the Old City is phenomenal! We were a walking distance from everything.
